Can Cold Laser Therapy technology assist you?

As many of you are aware, I underwent shoulder surgery in October and have been unable to work up until now. I plan on returning full-time as of February 2013. We have a wonderful covering chiropractor available Mon, Weds, Fri and Sat. Please feel free to call our office if you have any concerns.

While I have been convalescing, I was introduced to an amazing piece of equipment that reduced inflammation, decreased pain, and allowed me to resume some of my regular responsibilities almost immediately. After careful consideration about my long term goals for patient care, I have decided to purchase this devise and offer the same incredible results to patients who are suffering in pain.

Although my shoulder was torn, ruptured and arthritic, after using the MR4 Cold Laser Therapy, I was able to restore full range of motion within a week. Here is the tricky part: I felt so great, I was able to go on a family golf trip. I came home and was ready to cancel the surgery. My orthopedist came back to me with my exact philosophy… Does no pain equate to health? Are my shoulder tendons no longer ruptured and the spurring from arthritis miraculously gone? Of course not, the Laser treated the pain, the symptoms, not the Cause! Was my orthopedist a chiropractor in disguise? I thought, if I could incorporate Cold Laser into my practice to reduce the amount of pain medications and anti-inflammatories patients take, wouldn’t this help them get healthier? The Laser did not and could not restore anatomical structure; therefore without the surgery the problem would remain and continue to worsen. More damage to other areas in the shoulder would ensue. By the time the pain returned again, the damage could have been so severe that no surgery would correct it. This is very similar to the chiropractic story… When the pain is gone, it does not mean the problem is no longer there. If we leave spinal misalignments alone, further nerve interference, degeneration and disease eventually follow.

“However, it is my belief that chiropractic should be a way of life, so this modern therapy should be considered a compliment, not a substitute for periodic spinal checks and quality chiropractic care.”

So… I’m thrilled to announce that our office is now equipped to perform State-Of-The-Art “Cold Laser” therapy. This FDA approved treatment is one of the most advanced modalities for pain relief, and another effective non-surgical, drug-free treatment option for suffers of many painful conditions acute and chronic!

Frequently asked questions:

Q:How does “Cold Laser” therapy work?

The Laser delivers light energy or photons, to damaged cells in order to stimulate the mitochondria. Mitochondria increases cell energy and promotes healing of dis-ease within the cells. It helps transform live cells from a state of illness to a stable and healthy state. Our Laser employs 25,000-50,000 MW of power allowing for absorption up to five inches deep into the body. Because it is “Pulsed Light” there is no heat created and no risk of burning.

Our Cold Laser is available for acute or chronic injuries such as:

  • Arthritis
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Headaches
  • Back, Neck and Shoulder Pain
  • TMJ Disorders
  • Tennis Elbow
